Virginia Legacy Announce Three Player Commitments for Fall 2007

Three U18 Wizard Players Commit to Top Level College Programs

Williamsburg, VA (February 14, 2007)  -  The Virgina Legacy Soccer Club announced today that three youth players have made commitments to play for collegiate programs next fall.  Legacy players have consistently been able to take their youth soccer playing days to the next level. With the new group of older players within the club, this year is no exception. Not only is it an exciting moment for the club to see its players grow over the years, but it is even more of a thrill for those players to take the next step in their playing careers.

Three players from the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club have made their decisions and committed to top level college soccer programs. Cliff Kipper and Tyler Clare of the U18 Wizards team recently became Captains as they committed to attend Christopher Newport University next fall to play under CNU head coach and VLSC Senior Staff Coach, Steve Shaw. CNU has an excellent program coming off a successful season with an impressive NCAA Tournament run. Justin Clark, also from the U18 Wizards, has committed to a prominent Division III school as well. Justin will continue his playing career as he plans to attend Virginia Wesleyan College in the fall of 2007. Virginia Wesleyan also is coming off a solid season advancing to the second round of the NCAA tournament and finishing the season ranked #25 in the nation by the NSCAA. “A huge congratulations goes out to these three players. It is a huge step in their lives, both on and off the field, and we wish them all the best. Hopefully we will see more of these commitments from Legacy players in the very near future.” says Dan Lader, Director of Player Development.
