VLSC Teams Crowned Champions of AAU Indoor Tournament
Tournament was First VLSC Hosted Indoor Event of Winter Season

U17 VLSC Wizards - AAU Indoor Champions

Williamsburg, VA (January 10, 2007) – The Virignia Legacy Soccer Club was proud to host the 2006 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Indoor National Championship on December 8-10 and 15-17 at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC). The tournament hosted top teams from around the area to compete on the national level and earn the right to be called 2006 AAU National Indoor Champions. The first weekend hosted age groups from U11 to U14, while the second weekend had the older ages including U14 Boys to U19 brackets. The Virginia Legacy Soccer Club was well represented as the U12 Wizards team and U17 Wizards teams ran away with the gold and were named National Champions. Other stand out squads for the club included our U14 Phoenix who lost to AVS in the final which game them runners-up honors. The U16 Wizards also placed second after losing VA Rush 4-2 in the U16 Bracket.

The weekend proved to be an exceptional showcase of skill as it featured premier teams from all over. "We are extremely proud of our Legacy teams who made it to the finals and especially to our U17 Wizards and our U12 Wizards for winning it all. We are very lucky to be the home of not one, but two AAU National Indoor Champions. Congratulations go out to them," said Dan Lader, Director of Player Development.
