Virginia Legacy Teams Find Success at Beach FC Sun Cup
Williamsburg, VA (August 21, 2006) – The Virginia Legacy Soccer Club
found success at the recently completed Beach FC Sun Cup held in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The club competed in its first full-sided matches of the 2006-2007 season. The U14, U16, and U18 Wizards were crowned tournament champions after going undefeated in round robin and final play. "I was pleased with the club as a whole after just our first full tournament of the season. It was important to be able to play a few matches after we opened training a few weeks ago. I am looking forward to some great things from our teams this season, " said Kevin Darcy, Director of Coaching. The VCCL season begins next week with the first matchday of the season against Roanoke Star. The VSLI season will open play the weekend after Labor Day.
