Virginia Legacy Player Appreciation Night Announced
Event to be held on December 2, 2006 at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC)

WHO: Welcome to all Legacy players, coaches, parents, and family members.

WHAT: 1st Annual Player Appreciation Night to honor the support and dedication of everyone involved with the club.

WHERE: Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex

Come one, come all! Join us for the 1st Annual Player Appreciation Night for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club. The night will feature a number of games, contests, and attractions for people of all ages. The night will begin with a State of the Club Address by our Director of Coaching, Kevin Darcy. The night will then be highlighted by a Player vs. Staff match starting at 5:15. The Legacy coaching staff will face off against the U18 Wizards team on the turf field. During halftime of the game, there will be raffle prizes given out and different contests for players to compete for. From 4:30 to 7:00 on the Sport Court, there will be a variety of games and contests including a shooting radar, three 2v2 Joga Bonito fields, shooting accuracy, juggling competition, dribbling obstacle course, and more. From 6:15-7:00, the turf field will be split into three fields of open play for everyone to enjoy. Outside of the new Ryan’s Deli there will be a FIFA PlayStation Tournament taking place on the plasma screen.

There will also be food and music on hand, as well as many door prizes, giveaways, raffles, and contests available. Some of the prizes include posters, Nike gear, balls, etc. With the new club getting off the ground, we will need a logo to represent us so we will give everyone an opportunity to design their own Legacy logo. We will then use these suggestions to decide on an official club logo. In addition to all of the things listed above, we will also be selling old Williamsburg Legacy PDL jerseys, shorts, warm-ups, t-shirts, and bags in order to benefit the Virginia Legacy Scholarship Fund.

This should be a great event for everyone who participates and it is something that will set us apart from other clubs in the area. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this night and come out and show your Legacy pride. In order to encourage the best turn out possible, we will be giving out a Grand Prize to the team with the largest player attendance. So make sure you come out and show your appreciation.

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help make this night run as smoothly as possible, so please contact the Legacy if you are interested in helping out.
