It’s a Wrap! Legacy Take Over This Year’s Winter Wrap-Up Tournament

Five champions and Two Finalists Named From the Legacy


Virginia Legacy U14 Red - 2007 Winter Wrap Up Champions

Williamsburg, VA (February 9, 2007)  -  This year’s annual Winter Wrap-Up proved to be a huge success for the Virginia Legacy teams as five teams took 1st place while two teams placed 2nd.  Out of the five champions to come from the Legacy, the U14 Red team was one of the stand-outs from the weekend. Coached by Steve Fell and Rob Brown, the boys displayed real determination and skill as they ran through the field to bring home the championship. Other winners included the U11 Wizards, U12 Wizards, U13 Wizards, and the U18 Red. Another congratulations goes out to the U10 Academy White and the U15 Wizards who earned second place standings.

The tournament was a huge success as over 70 teams were attendance. Not only was the competition high, the stakes were that as well. Winners from each bracket in the Winter Wrap-Up tournament qualified to move on to the National Indoor Soccer Championships held in the months of February and March. Our U13 Wizards team will be traveling to Dulles, VA as they hope to continue their run at the National Championship. “The Winter Wrap-Up continues to grow each and every year and it is great to see our Legacy teams continue to succeed in these events. We are proud to hold such a prestigious event and good luck to each team as they continue to go after the national title,” says Chris Scrofani, Director of Indoor Events for the VLSC.
