Legacy Apprentice Program quickly approaching
Program set to start on May 12
Williamsburg, VA (March 23, 2007) - The Virginia Legacy Apprentice Program is now open for registration and will begin training on June 5. However, game day activities will start on the Legacy’s opening game on May 12. The Apprentice Program, which was announced in January, is a first for the club and will give the younger Legacy players a chance to be involved with the Legacy PDL team. The program will start training June 5 and will commence on July 26.
This new course will be offered to all Virginia Legacy players in the U10-U14 age groups and each player that registers will be given a mentor from the Legacy-PDL Senior team. Players will meet once a week, generally in the evenings throughout the week, with their mentor and train in a one-on-one and small group setting. In addition to the training sessions, all players will be included in game day activities such as pre-game warm ups with the team, pre-game introductions, and joining the team on the sideline during select games. Additionally, each player will receive a replica Legacy Nike jersey to sport match days.
The total cost for the Legacy Apprentice Program is $250 and online registration is now open at www.valegacysoccer.com. The maximum amount of accepted players will be limited to 22 people and some spots are already filled up.
