VLSC CLUB EVENT STRUCTURE
Over the past thirteen years the Directors of Coaching for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club have established a Club Event Structure. The Club Event Structure outlines the seasonal schedules for all VLSC teams giving specifics for each team level (elite, premier, or classic) and for both boys and girls teams.
This brochure outlines a year-round soccer event curriculum for both boys and girls teams based on age and whether the team is a elite, premier, or a classic team. It will outline for each team level the league schedules dates, tournaments teams will participate in; and other special events for all VLSC teams. In the outline you will also see the differences between the different age groups and the differences of participation of the different team levels and either boys or girls teams.
The club will travel en mass to the tournaments indicated making it easier for carpooling, hotel booking, coaches helping each other out, learning from each others teams, and generally promoting club unity. Through the years VLSC has built varies relationships with tournaments within our region. The relationships help to insure acceptances of all VLSC teams into the tournaments listed. These relationships are ongoing and from time to time lead to variances in the tournaments listed.
This Club Event Structure should provide everybody up front knowledge of what events are going to take place on a yearly basis. Planning for soccer and other non-soccer events alike should, therefore, be that much easier. Remember when accepting a position within the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club your participation at these events is expected. Also club fees and dues are based on these events, each players fees are established based on these events regardless of individual participation. From time to time coaches may want to do additional events. They are welcome to do so after discussing them with the Director of Coaching.
