Legacy suffer second loss of the season

Team heads to Delaware this Sunday

Williamsburg, VA (May 26, 2007)  -  The Virginia Legacy hosted the Hampton Roads Saturday night and the Piranhas handed them a 3-0 bashing. The game started off on a bad foot for the Legacy as Andrew Wheeler opened the scoring in the fifth minute for Hampton Roads. Things continued to go bad as the Piranhas added to their lead midway through the first half.

The Virginia Legacy went into the locker room at halftime down 2-0 looking to get one back. Fortunately, the Legacy came out of the half with a few personnel changes and put the Piranhas under some pressure in the opening minutes of the half. Bobby O’Brien had the best chance for the Legacy as he almost converted from nine yards out. However, Hampton Roads kept their shutout streak alive as they denied the Legacy from ever finding the back of the net.

The game ended with a 3-0 result in favor of the Hampton Roads Piranhas. The Legacy is now 1-2 for the season as they head to Kirkwood, Delaware to face the Dynasty this Sunday.
