I
received bad news yesterday from Brian Cotlove. Brian is a
player at the University of Portland who had contacted me
about coming across country this summer to play for the
Legacy. In a scrimmage last week he re-fractured his pubic
bone and is out for the season. All our best goes out to
Brian for a speed recovery. We hope to have him in town to
play next summer. Apart from Brian the Legacy players are
presently all healthy.
Sponsorship
Opportunities
There
are lots of different levels of sponsorships that
companies and families can participate in. The Legacy is a
self funding entity within the non profit WSC.No youth
player fees finance the Legacy. Whether it is buying
a game day ticket or being a top level Platinum Sponsor we
appreciate all support of the Legacy. If you would
like to get involved with sponsoring the team please check
out the Legacy web site at www.williamsburglegacy.com
or call 757-220-3794.
This
section will give you a brief overview of our last game or

Williamsburg
Legacy Summer Soccer Camps
Last year
summer soccer camps will took a whole new format with players and
staff from the Williamsburg Legacy coaching in the Summer. This
will again be true. We have also added more weeks not only in Williamsburg
but on the Peninsula, Gloucester and Mathews. If you would like to
get information go to the Legacy site at www.williamsburglegacy.com
or www.williamsburgsoccer.com.
There are weeks geared to our developmental players and weeks for
travel players aged U10 to U17. Please check it out and see if you
can fit in into your schedule.
The
Williamsburg Legacy operation is very different that most Premier
Development League teams. Although we do have full time staff paid
involved, as a non profit group we have asked for a lot of
volunteer help with the team. It is important that these
people are recognized because they do so much behind the scenes.
Without them there would be no Legacy! Thanks to the following:
