USL announces
Teams of the Week
TAMPA, Fla. (May 7,
2002) -- United Soccer Leagues announced the Teams of the Week for Week
Three today, unveiling the first edition for the Premier Development
League this season. Charleston’s Paul Conway scored three goals on the
week and Williamsburg’s Carlos Garcia was honored for his hat-trick.
Atlanta defender Gilbert Jean-Baptiste made his third appearance in as
many weeks.
USL will announce the Players of the Week Wednesday. The W-League, which
kicked off with two games this past weekend, will debut its Team of the
Week next week.
