Legacy To Host Virginia Beach Mariners
On
Wednesday May 4th at 7pm the Williamsburg Legacy, of
the Premier Development League (PDL), will host the Virginia Beach
Mariners of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) First Division. The
exhibition game will be hosted by the Christopher Newport
University (CNU) Men’s soccer team at Captain’s Field on the
CNU campus. The event is now in its fourth year at CNU. “It is a
great opportunity for both our Legacy players and our youth
players,” said Richard Butler, Head Coach of the Legacy. “For
our youth players on the Peninsula it gives them a high quality
game to watch that they can hopefully learn from. For our Legacy
players it gives us a good friendly game to kick off the season
and it exposes them to a different level of soccer. With the
season just around the corner it will be a good test for our
players,” he continued
Tickets
are $4 for adults, $2 for students 18 or older and $1 for all
youth players in uniform. Tickets can be obtained at the gate or
