Legacy Game Saturday Night 7pm at Busch Field vs. 1st Place Carolina Dynamo

The team is currently doing quite well playing some attractive soccer and managing to get a few results in the process. The team really fed off the crowd support during the first home game against Raleigh CASL Elite and is looking for even more support as they take on the Carolina Dynamo. Carolina just dropped down from the professional ranks and should prove a tough test for the Legacy. Game time is 7 pm at Busch Field on the campus of William & Mary on Saturday May 22nd, 2004. As usual there are a number of special promotions that we will be offering during the game.

Game Day Promotions

Saturday's game is sponsored by Nike.  Nike night is one of the crowd's usual favorites. Come down to the game and have a bite to eat at our concession stand and enjoy an evening of attractive soccer. The first 500 people to walk through the gate will receive a prize from Nike.

Also at the game, the Legacy will hold a raffle for THE jersey that Coach Richard Butler used to score the first ever Legacy goal. If you remember, the goal was scored within the first 30 seconds of the game from 40 yards out and was the perfect way to start the Legacy franchise. We are expecting worldwide participation in the raffle, so come early in order to secure your raffle ticket! The jersey will not only be signed by the goal scorer, but also the entire Legacy team. If the world recognized name of Richard Butler is not enough for you, than perhaps your favorite Legacy players autograph will suffice. Tickets are just $1 each at the gate.

Half Time Promotions

Along with the Nike giveaways, the Legacy will be bringing back ?kick for cash.? 3 contestants will be picked from the crowd and given 2 chances to kick the ball through a hole in the WSC wooden sign. On the line will be a $50 dollar cash prize. This is an excellent chance to show your skill and win some money in the process.

Other Promotions

There will be a number of other prizes given out during the evening including other Nike merchandise, mini balls, pennants and many other prizes.

The legacy games are a fun time for the whole family to come out and enjoy quality soccer in a family friendly environment. We hope you are able to come on Saturday to cheer the boys on in their quest for another 3 points.
