Williamsburg Legacy Partners with WISC Fitness Center

 

WISC Fitness to Become the Official Strength & Conditioning Center of the PDL Team

 

Williamsburg , VA ( May 24, 2006 ) – The Williamsburg Legacy PDL Team announced today the newly formed partnership with the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC) Fitness Center .  As part of the agreement, the Legacy players will have unlimited access to the recently constructed state-of-the-art fitness facility.  Included in the deal will be advertising and signage at Legacy matches.  “We are proud to be the official training center for one of the highest level soccer teams in the area.  I think the Legacy players will see immediate benefits from our tremendous facility,” said Chris Haywood, CEO and President of the WISC.  Legacy Head Coach Richard Butler is also excited about the agreement.  “The Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC) Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art work out center that will benefit our Williamsburg Legacy players through the course of their season. Many of these young players aspire to one day play for a Major League Soccer team and finding an edge to do this is important. Strength and conditioning is an important aspect of soccer training and now our players will have a quality facility to use. I certainly appreciate the cooperation from Chris Haywood and the WISC in this new endeavor,” says Butler .

 

About WISC Fitness Center

The 15,000 square foot center boasts quality cardiovascular and weight machines designed by Life Fitness, two full racks of free weights, and power equipment provided by Hammer Strength.  The WISC Fitness Center features a personal training room with rehabilitation equipment, an aerobics and fitness class room, and a kids training center.  The kids training center offers a Hoist machine line specifically designed for ages 8-14.  The facility is overseen by a Director and Assistant Director of Fitness and a staff of Strength and Conditioning Certified Specialists (CSSC).
