Brannon Thomas has successful surgery!

Yesterday Brannon Thomas (Z) came through 3 hours of surgery at UVA Medical Center as positively as possible. We have not heard the pathology report but Dr. Jane felt the tumor removed was probably benign; he was able to completely remove it and does not believe any damage was done to motor centers etc. Z woke up at 5 PM and was cognitive but in a lot of pain and he was given painkillers, which pretty much knocked him out. He will be in intensive care for 24 hours and then hopefully moved today to another floor. His stay in the hospital will be anywhere from 2 to 8 days depending upon his recovery.

He probably won't feel like doing much for a couple of weeks.  Apparently he will be kept on his anti-seizure medication for a while and we really have no idea what lays ahead for him, but it is great to feel that he has a chance to return to where he was before his seizure on June 13th.

The Thomas's appreciate everyone's thoughts and support.
